FASCINATION ABOUT SOLAR CABLE CONNECTORS

I see in many within your schematics that you choose to wire the solar panels in series (instead of parallel). Is there a selected reason for that? Thanks!Also I will need a fuse among the battery bank and also the inverter. Any diagrams that you can ship me will be appreciated. Fuse types and sizes would assist if you might send out me them also.
